Job Description:
As an Upholsterer, you will play an important role in the production of specialty trucks and vans by covering and securing a variety of upholstered components. This position requires strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and the ability to safely use hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment.
- Cover and secure a variety of upholstered components for trucks and vans on the production line
- Safely operate pneumatic and power tools, including drills, screw guns, sanders, and jig saws
- Read and follow engineering drawings, layouts, work instructions, and verbal directions
- Use measuring devices and basic math to complete work accurately
- Meet established production, quality assurance, quality control, safety, and 5S standards
- Work independently while setting priorities to meet scheduled production goals
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of upholstery covering experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a related manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, layouts, measurements, and work instructions
- Experience safely operating pneumatic, hand, and power tools
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring devices
- General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards with strong attention to safety and quality
