Job Description
The General Laborer is responsible for sorting materials such as pallets, boxes, plastic bins and other miscellaneous materials throughout the distribution center. This position will primarily focus on hand-sorting break-pack boxes, plastic containers and wooden pallets while meeting established production requirements. The General Laborer will load, unload and move materials while maintaining quality and safety standards. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Responsibilities
- Hand-sort break-pack boxes, plastic containers, wooden pallets and other materials.
- Hand stack materials appropriately while following instructions and established procedures.
- Load and unload materials by hand and move materials on pallets or in crates throughout the storage facility.
- Check loads to ensure materials are secure and examine products for conformance to quality standards.
- Maintain established production, efficiency and performance standards while following company safety requirements and core values.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout the distribution center.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to work at a fast pace while meeting expected production requirements.
- Ability to perform repetitive material-handling duties in a warehouse/distribution environment.
- Ability to safely load, unload, stack and move materials by hand.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain quality and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Safety footwear is required.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold and other warehouse conditions.
- Must be willing and able to meet applicable company safety and production requirements.

The base pay range for this position is $19.00–$19.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
