Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, improvement, and expansion of precision manufacturing operations within a highly engineered production environment.
This is a hands on technical role for an engineer who understands the relationship between product design, machinery, tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes. You will work across manufacturing engineering, mechanical design, equipment development, automation, new product introduction, and production support to solve complex manufacturing challenges and improve how highly engineered products are produced.
The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical intuition and meaningful experience working directly with manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production methods for new and existing products
• Evaluate manufacturing machinery and technologies and develop technical recommendations for equipment purchases, upgrades, automation, and capital investments
• Apply mechanical engineering and machine design principles to equipment, tooling, fixtures, mechanical components, and manufacturing challenges
• Partner with product engineering to improve manufacturability, evaluate tolerances and mechanical interfaces, and identify production challenges before full scale manufacturing
• Lead manufacturing engineering projects while troubleshooting equipment and process issues, supporting root cause investigations, and implementing practical solutions on the production floor
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
• Professional experience within manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, machine design, manufacturing equipment, or a related technical environment
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with practical knowledge of machinery, mechanical systems, tooling, fixtures, tolerances, fits, clearances, and mechanical assemblies
• CAD experience with SolidWorks strongly preferred
• Demonstrated project management, technical problem solving, and cross functional collaboration capabilities
