What You’ll Do:
- Review and analyze statutory filings, financial statements, and supplemental schedules
- Lead complex investment, cash, and general ledger reconciliations across multiple data sources
- Research and interpret NAIC SAP guidance, regulatory changes, and technical accounting matters
- Partner with auditors, regulators, and leadership on reporting, compliance, and audit support
- Improve reporting processes, controls, and audit readiness through process enhancement initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of insurance accounting experience with strong NAIC SAP exposure (required)
- Experience with statutory reporting, audits, regulator interaction, and complex reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills including pivots, lookups, formulas, and large data analysis
- Strong technical accounting research, analytical, and problem-solving ability
- Proven ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and manage multiple deadlines
