Job Description
A well-established organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support its accounting team on a contract basis through January. This role will focus on processing backlogged invoices, maintaining accurate vendor records, reconciling statements, and resolving discrepancies to ensure payments are completed accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate will bring complex high volume accounts payable experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do
- Process and verify incoming expense and inventory invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and payment questions
- Work with internal departments to resolve payment issues
- Ensure vendor transactions and payments follow established company policies
- Help maintain an accurate and efficient accounts payable workflow
What You Need to Succeed
- Previous accounts payable, accounting clerk, or similar finance experience OR a two-year Accounting degree
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work onsite in Windsor Heights, IA
