Job Description
We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to join a highly collaborative, in-person team in Omaha focused on building scalable, user-centered digital experiences across the organization. This role combines hands-on UI/UX design, systems thinking, and cross-functional collaboration within an autonomous, DevOps-driven environment. The ideal candidate will create intuitive workflows, reusable design components, and sustainable design systems while partnering closely with developers, product managers, architects, and enterprise stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality user experiences. This position is ideal for a designer who is passionate about usability, research, and solving complex business challenges through thoughtful and scalable design solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Design intuitive, scalable, and user-centered experiences for web and enterprise applications
- Create wireframes, prototypes, workflows, mockups, and reusable UI components using Figma and related design tools
- Develop and maintain scalable design systems that promote consistency across products and platforms
- Partner closely with developers, product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle
- Conduct and apply user research, usability testing, and customer feedback to improve user experiences
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into clean, effective design solutions
- Collaborate within Agile and DevOps-driven teams to support iterative product delivery
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers while contributing to overall UX strategy and standards
- Advocate for usability, accessibility, and best practices in user-centered design
- Participate in stakeholder discussions and present design concepts, rationale, and recommendations clearly and effectively
- Stay current on emerging UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve design practices
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Business, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of professional UI/UX or Product Design experience
- Strong proficiency with Figma and modern UX/UI design tools
- Experience building and maintaining scalable design systems and reusable component libraries
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and interaction design
- Experience collaborating in Agile and DevOps-driven software development environments
- Proven ability to work closely with developers, product managers, architects, and business stakeholders
- Strong visual design skills combined with a focus on usability and functional user experience
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior designers preferred
- Basic front-end development knowledge, including CSS; JavaScript familiarity is a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to think strategically while also executing detailed design work
- Insurance industry experience is a plus
- Must be able to work onsite in Omaha in a highly collaborative team environment

The Pay Rate range for this position is $50 – $67 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
