Job Description
A growing manufacturing company in Mentor, OH, is seeking an experienced Robotic Weld Operator to join its first-shift team. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a skilled MIG welder who can confidently perform manual welding while operating robotic welding equipment. The position involves loading welding fixtures, performing MIG welds, and inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Responsibilities:
- Operate Motoman robotic welding equipment to complete production work.
- Load and unload metal parts into welding fixtures accurately and safely.
- Perform manual MIG welding using specified welding procedures.
- Visually inspect completed welds to ensure quality and workmanship standards.
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain an organized work area.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in MIG welding is required.
- Ability to perform quality manual MIG welds independently using established welding procedures.
- Ability to operate or learn robotic welding equipment.
- Ability to visually inspect welds and identify quality concerns.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed footwear and safety glasses.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment screening.
- Reliable attendance, strong teamwork skills, and a positive work attitude.
