Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Receiving / Stockroom Associate to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, organization, and movement of materials throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and organization.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping notices.
- Count, weigh, sort, and record incoming goods to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Inspect materials for quality and identify any damaged, incorrect, or non-conforming items.
- Enter stock and special-order items into the inventory management system and assign proper storage locations.
- Label inventory and products using appropriate labeling equipment.
- Coordinate returns, rejected materials, and credits with purchasing and accounts payable departments.
- Deliver materials and supplies to production and non-production departments as needed.
- Maintain inventory levels and assist with identifying reorder requirements.
- Move and organize Kanban inventory bins according to established procedures.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Verify daily receipts against accounting reports for accuracy.
- Assist with inventory reporting, stock usage analysis, and inventory control activities.
- Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Maintain warehouse, stockroom, and storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Assist with warehouse layout planning and storage optimization.
- Review packing slips, certificates of compliance, and related documentation for accuracy.
- Collaborate with operations, purchasing, production, and other departments to resolve inventory and receiving issues.
- Support light assembly work for build-to-stock products as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, stockroom, inventory control, or material handling preferred.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately count, record, and track inventory.
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share that the base salary range for this position is $18.00 – $20.00 per hour not including benefits, potential bonuses, or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the above range is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth
