Job Description
As a Powder Coater Lead, you will oversee daily powder coating operations while supporting production goals, quality standards, and employee performance. This role is essential to maintaining efficient workflow, ensuring product quality, and leading team members in a safe and productive manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support powder coating team members in daily production activities
- Coordinate work assignments and production schedules to meet departmental goals
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Inspect materials, products, and equipment to ensure quality and performance standards are met
- Monitor production equipment, gauges, and indicators to maintain operational efficiency
- Train employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and work processes
- Interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, and production requirements
- Review production schedules, reports, and work orders to support workflow and output goals
- Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain powder coating equipment as needed
- Communicate production concerns and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous leadership experience in a powder coating environment required
- Strong knowledge of powder coating processes, equipment, and quality standards
- Experience conducting inspections and evaluating product quality and performance
- Ability to monitor equipment operation and identify production issues
- Experience performing routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting repairs
- Ability to determine appropriate tools and equipment for manufacturing tasks
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production documents
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more as required

The base pay range for this position is $20-25/hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
