Job Description
An established distribution operation is seeking a dependable Maintenance Helper to support its maintenance team during the busy peak season. This temporary position focuses on basic, non-skilled maintenance support, including ensuring forklifts and other material handling equipment are properly connected and charging when not in use. The Maintenance Helper will also assist with general tasks, housekeeping, and special projects to help the maintenance team maintain efficient daily operations. Candidates should be safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure unused equipment is properly connected to charging stations and charging as required.
- Assist maintenance technicians with basic, non-skilled tasks and assigned projects.
- Maintain accurate equipment charging logs, reports, and other assigned documentation.
- Keep maintenance areas, equipment stations, and surrounding workspaces clean and organized.
- Follow established safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and report equipment concerns to the maintenance team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED, as listed in the client job description.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar position, as listed in the client job description.
- Basic knowledge of common tools, equipment, and general maintenance procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift or move up to 70 pounds, as specified in the client job description.
- Ability to work at elevated heights when required.
- Powered Industrial Truck Certification listed in the client job description.
- Ability to follow all workplace safety procedures and wear assigned PPE.
- Interview required as part of the selection process.

The base pay rate for this position is $19.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
