A highly respected staple in the Des Moines metro is seeking an experienced accounting and finance leader to join its executive finance team. This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity reporting directly to the CFO and overseeing core accounting operations, financial reporting, audits, compliance, and team leadership/ development. The role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys balancing strategic partnership with hands-on operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting, month-end/year-end close, audits, and compliance functions
- Oversee GL, AP/AR, payroll, and overall accounting operations
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic projects
- Enhance internal controls, process improvements, and ERP optimization
- Develop and mentor a reporting staff of 10
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting
- 2+ years in a leadership role
- Strong accounting/ finance skills with hands-on close and financial reporting experience
- Public audit background highly preferred
- Strong tech stack stills/ Multiple ERP experience preferred
