Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Employment-Based Immigration Attorney to join a growing legal team and lead employment immigration matters. This role will manage a personal caseload while providing guidance and oversight to paralegals and support staff. The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling employment-based visas, green cards, PERM processes, and complex immigration filings, while also building client relationships, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality case management. This is a hands-on attorney role for someone who enjoys both legal strategy and client interaction in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a personal caseload of employment-based immigration matters from consultation through completion.
- Handle and oversee employment-based visa filings, including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E visas, and other nonimmigrant petitions.
- Review and oversee PERM, I-140, green card applications, visa applications, RFE responses, audits, motions, and appeals.
- Prepare and review legal briefs, cover letters, arguments, and supporting immigration documentation.
- Conduct client consultations and develop appropriate immigration strategies.
- Attend USCIS interviews with clients as needed.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and quality oversight to paralegals and support staff.
- Review case progress, deadlines, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for attorneys and support teams on employment-based immigration matters.
- Train team members on immigration processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve case management processes and department operations.
- Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external professional networks.
- Stay current on changes in immigration law and provide guidance on evolving requirements.
- Support department growth initiatives and contribute to improving overall client service.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active law license (any state or PR) and membership in good standing with the Bar required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment-based immigration law.
- Strong experience handling employment-based visa matters, including:
- H-1B
- L-1
- TN
- E visas
- PERM
- I-140 petitions
- Employment-based green cards
- Experience managing complex immigration filings, RFEs, audits, motions, and appeals.
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience providing guidance, mentorship, or leadership to paralegals and support staff.
- Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to understand business processes and support revenue-generating activities.
- Professional presence and ability to work with corporate clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate with a team, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

The base pay range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
