Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support the organization's finance team by managing the full accounts payable process in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, maintaining vendor records, preparing journal entries, and ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining strict attention to detail and confidentiality.

This role is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, maintaining vendor records, preparing journal entries, and ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments. Responsibilities
• Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, receiving reports, and payment requests while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Review and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, account coding, and billing calculations prior to payment processing.
• Maintain vendor files, including W-9 documentation, approved vendor records, and payment history.
• Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts payable transactions, generate AP reports, and assist with month-end and fiscal year-end closing activities.
• Research invoice discrepancies, communicate with internal departments and vendors, distribute vendor payments, and support audits and budget preparation.

Qualifications and Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework in Accounting preferred (minimum accounting credit hours required).
• Minimum of two (2) years of Accounts Payable experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes, invoice processing, account reconciliations, purchase orders, journal entries, and financial

The base pay range for this position $22.00 an hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
