Job Description
We’re seeking a Systems Administrator to support advanced internet, voice, and video services for commercial and enterprise clients. This role focuses on configuring and maintaining network edge equipment, ensuring high system availability, and supporting infrastructure security and performance. You’ll work closely with senior IT staff to manage servers, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and help maintain a secure, high-performing network environment. Ideal candidates bring strong technical fundamentals, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering reliable IT solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced technical support for escalated Help Desk issues related to internet, video, voice, DNS, DHCP, and email services
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain network systems and services for both business and residential customers
- Support enterprise-level systems, including Metro Ethernet and advanced voice solutions, ensuring uptime and performance standards
- Assist with infrastructure administration, including system monitoring, alarm/event tracking, and deployment of new technologies
- Support network security initiatives, including maintaining security devices, assisting with vulnerability assessments, and promoting best practices
- Serve as backup support for senior systems administration functions and assist with corporate telephony services as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 2+ years of experience in networking or systems administration preferred
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, including switching, routing, fiber optics, and Metro Ethernet
- Experience with server hardware/software and operating systems such as Linux, Unix, Windows, VMware, and macOS
- Familiarity with wireless networking (point-to-point and point-to-multipoint) and GPON technologies
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills
- Valid driver’s license required for occasional on-site support

The Pay Rate range for this position is $74,000 – $89,000 per year, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
