Job Description
We are seeking a UI/UX Designer I to help create intuitive, engaging, and user-centered digital experiences for both internal and customer-facing applications. This role partners closely with Product Owners, developers, business analysts, and QA teams to design and enhance web and mobile applications through user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering polished, high-quality user experiences while working in an Agile software development environment.

Responsibilities:
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications
- Create wireframes, mockups, user flows, and interactive prototypes using design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar platforms
- Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand business and user needs
- Apply user-centered design principles to improve usability and customer experience
- Participate in user research, usability testing, and analysis of user feedback to inform design decisions
- Maintain consistency with branding, design standards, and overall user experience strategy
- Communicate and present design concepts, recommendations, and rationale to stakeholders
- Stay current on modern UI/UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
- Support Agile development processes and contribute to iterative product delivery cycles
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- 2+ years of UI/UX design experience preferred
- Proficiency with UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar platforms
- Understanding of user-centered design methodologies and usability best practices
- Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain and defend design decisions while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience designing for mobile platforms (iOS and Android) preferred
- Insurance industry experience is a plus

The Pay Rate range for this position is $50 – $67 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
