Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sr. AP Processor to provide Accounts Payable support for a large healthcare organization. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely auditing and processing of high-volume Accounts Payable documents while interpreting and applying established policies and procedures. The ideal candidate brings strong AP knowledge, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently according to established accounting practices and purchasing policies
- Review invoice matching for accuracy and research and resolve discrepancies prior to processing and payment
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to verify charges, resolve payment issues, and respond to inquiries
- Research credits, past-due invoices, and statements, and reconcile monthly vendor statements to identify outstanding items
- Audit and process employee expense reports, in-house checks, voids, cancellations, and reissuances for checks and electronic payments
- Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers while ensuring timely resolution of Accounts Payable issues and inquiries
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Accounts Payable, Finance, or an accounting environment required
- Strong knowledge of basic Accounts Payable principles and processes
- Strong problem-solving, research, documentation, resolution, and data analysis skills
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to use a 10-key by touch
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees and vendors
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail
- Outstanding customer service skills with a focus on timely and effective issue resolution
