Job Description
Our client, a financially strong and highly respected enterprise organization, is seeking a Software Engineer to join a collaborative Agile development team supporting business-critical applications.
Working alongside experienced software engineers and technical leaders, you'll participate in designing, developing, testing, and deploying modern full-stack applications while helping drive a major application modernization initiative.
This position offers excellent mentorship and the opportunity to contribute across the entire software development lifecycle—from front-end development through cloud deployment and automated testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modern full-stack applications
- Build responsive user interfaces using React and React Native
- Develop and enhance Spring Boot services and REST APIs
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Agile development teams
- Participate in architecture discussions and application modernization efforts
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Perform code reviews and collaborate with fellow developers
- Troubleshoot software defects and performance issues
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
- Build and maintain automated tests
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and continuous improvement initiatives
- Research and adopt emerging software development technologies, including AI-assisted engineering tools
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with React or React Native
- Experience developing applications using Java Spring Boot
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Cloud experience with AWS or another major cloud platform
- Experience with Git version control
- Understanding of Agile software development practices
- Experience with automated testing and Test-Driven Development
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred
Experience with:
- React Native
- AWS-native development
- CI/CD pipelines
- JavaScript or TypeScript
- Automated testing frameworks
- AI-assisted software development tools
- Financial services or other highly regulated industries
