Job Description
An established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Senior Machine Operator to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize a variety of production equipment. In this role, you will use your mechanical and technical expertise to maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards while producing quality parts with minimal supervision. You will also serve as a technical resource for fellow operators, support continuous improvement efforts, and help maximize equipment performance.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, adjust, troubleshoot, and perform changeovers on production equipment, including laminators, slitters, die cutters, and assembly equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, job routers, specifications, and work instructions to meet production requirements.
- Inspect finished and in-process products using calipers, gauges, rulers, tape measures, and other measuring equipment to verify quality and dimensions.
- Diagnose machine and process issues, make necessary adjustments, and recommend improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
- Train and mentor machine operators while accurately recording labor, production, scrap, and material usage in the ERP system and maintaining Lean Manufacturing and 5S standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating and setting up industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and quality inspection equipment; knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience with converting equipment, die cutting, laminating, slitting, stamping, CNC, or other precision manufacturing equipment preferred; ERP or manufacturing software experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks during a 10-hour shift.
- Ability to safely work around machinery and in an environment with exposure to dust, noise, fiberglass, and industrial materials.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check

The base pay range for this position is $20-28 excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
