Job Description
We are seeking a Senior HR Service Center Tech to provide customer service and administrative support within a busy Human Resources Service Center. This position will primarily support the HR Reception Desk and Badge Room while responding to employee and retiree inquiries by phone, email, and in person. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service, call center, administrative, and computer skills while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and retirees, responding to HR-related inquiries by phone, email, and in person while accurately documenting interactions
- Provide front reception desk coverage by greeting visitors, answering and directing calls, validating parking, assisting with onboarding check-ins, and providing general HR assistance
- Create and manage employee and contingent worker ID badges and maintain badge requests through applicable HR systems and email
- Assist employees with general HR questions related to benefits, separations, new-hire processes, training registration, employee status, and other HR programs
- Complete contingent worker vetting, verify badge and background-check requirements, receive and dispatch packages, perform data entry, and print and index HR documents
- Maintain established HR Service Center performance standards, including a 95% or better accuracy rate, while completing special projects and assigned administrative duties within required deadlines
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Four (4) years of call center and/or administrative/clerical experience required; college education may be considered in lieu of experience
- 1–4 years of post-secondary education preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business, or applicable business/secretarial training, preferred
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent written, verbal, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong general PC and keyboard skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Experience with ServiceNow and PeopleSoft HCM preferred but not required
- Previous HR, benefits, call center, and/or Kronos experience is a plus
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Ability to interact professionally with employees, management, visitors, and the general public
- Ability to occasionally lift or move equipment weighing less than 20 pounds
