Job Description
The Quality Lead CMM position is responsible for coordinating day‑to‑day quality activities on the shop floor and supporting the effective use of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). The role works closely with production processes, documented work instructions (DWIs), and quality procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CMM to validate WIP, new products and suppliers.
- CMM set-up, and fixture creation; CMM programming based on 2D drawings and CAD models.
- Document component setups and train peers on CMM.
- Equipment maintenance; Calibration, repairs, trouble shooting.
- Quality equipment / tool calibration management.
- Interprets geometric dimensioning and tolerancing frames from blueprints this data is translated into inspection program output to ensure manufactured products meet internal engineering and customer dimensional specifications.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8 to 10 years’ experience
- Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; ERP Systems: Crystal Reports, Macola, CCM Program Software, Adobe Solid Works, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge in CNC programming and CAD software.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

The base salary range for this position is $24-$28 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
