Job Description:
Our client, a well-established and growing distribution/manufacturing operation is seeking a dependable Shipping Associate to join its warehouse team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped on time. If you have experience in shipping, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality, this is a solid opportunity to grow with a stable employer.
Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and label customer orders according to specifications
- Prepare shipments using scales, forklifts, and warehouse equipment
- Complete pick tickets accurately for shipment processing
- Load outbound freight and perform final shipment inspections
- Communicate order status and potential shortages to supervisors
- Maintain accurate inventory locations and support cycle counts
- Identify and tag nonconforming materials (quality control)
- Follow proper trailer loading and material handling procedures
- Assist with tagging, traceability, and shipment documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Cross-train across warehouse functions to support team operations
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience
- Experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment preferred
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems a plus)
- Forklift certification required (crane certification a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
- Ability to use hands for handling materials and operating equipment

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role.
