Quality Control Inspector | $17.00 to $19.00 per hour

Job Description:
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will inspect cables, harnesses, connectors, and other products to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. You will perform visual inspections, continuity and/or resistance testing, and accurate measurements to determine whether products meet requirements. This role includes documenting inspection results, identifying nonconforming materials, and reporting discrepancies to supervision and management. You will maintain accurate traceability records and help ensure measuring equipment operates correctly.
Responsibilities:
- Accept or reject products and materials according to engineering specifications and standards; document nonconformances and notify appropriate personnel of potential rejections.
- Perform visual inspections and continuity and/or resistance testing on cables, harnesses, and connectors.
- Use measuring tools and perform calculations involving weight, torque conversions, and dimensions while ensuring equipment remains accurate and well maintained.
- Complete inspection reports and logs, and record daily job progress, deficiencies, product information, traceability details, labor hours, and other required statistics.
- Report discrepancies to supervision and management and maintain a safe work environment by following established standards and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proficiency in data entry and computer use.
- Ability to read detailed work instructions and interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, and standards.
- Ability to accurately use measuring tools, perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, and bend, stoop, reach, sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous quality assurance or quality control inspection experience.
- IPC certification to Standard 620 and/or J-STD-001.
- Bilingual English and Spanish
- Willingness to work varied shifts during increased production demand are preferred.
