Job Description
The Machine Setup Technician is responsible for setting up machines and installing molds in accordance with the production schedule to ensure optimal efficiency. This role plays a key part in maintaining quality standards by monitoring production, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing accurate documentation. The technician will also assist in training new employees while promoting a safe and clean work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience to grow within a stable organization.
Responsibilities:
- Install molds using tools such as hoists and forklifts
- Follow setup sheets and diagrams to connect water lines and safety equipment
- Prepare work area with materials, pallets, and necessary equipment for production
- Start machines, monitor operations, and approve first-piece quality
- Troubleshoot and adjust machines to meet product specifications
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant experience or technical/trade school background
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Strong troubleshooting and basic math skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office and inventory systems (IQMS preferred)
- Ability to obtain forklift certification and perform physical setup tasks

The base salary range for this position is $20-26 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
