Job Description
The Analog Press Operator is responsible for operating analog printing equipment to meet production and quality standards while completing jobs within budget and on time. This role focuses on screen press operations, including make-ready and set-up, registration, ink viscosity, color mixing, print quality, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. The Operator also maintains production records, assists with training and ink inventory, and keeps the work area clean and organized. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.

The Operator also maintains production records, assists with training and ink inventory, and keeps the work area clean and organized. Responsibilities:
- Read job tickets and set up or direct the set-up of the press according to job specifications
- Perform make-ready and set-up of the screen press, including machine set-up, registration, ink viscosity, color mixing, and print quality
- Run, adjust, and troubleshoot production jobs on the screen press
- Maintain optimum speed, registration, and print quality according to established standards
- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate production logs and reports
- Track labor and materials consumed through accurate data collection
- Assist with training production personnel and maintaining ink inventory
- Perform general clean-up and maintain a neat and orderly work area
- Assist with disposal of garbage and recycling bins in the screen press area
- Perform prepress tasks such as screen preparation, block out, and imaging screens as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Previous experience operating the same or functionally similar press preferred
- Knowledge of how to mix and produce correct color in printing
- Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of press operations and functions
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation
- Positive safety attitude
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and perform frequent standing with occasional reaching, bending, stooping, and climbing onto the press
