Job Description
The Field Service Technician diagnoses, repairs, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems. This position travels to customer sites to install mobile, audio, video, and surveillance equipment and train personnel on its proper use.
Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and related documents to locate problems and perform repairs.
- Identify, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade electronic equipment and systems using appropriate diagnostic instruments, technical references, and established processes.
- Complete soldering, wiring, equipment connections, and other installation or repair tasks as needed.
- Perform installations, repairs, and field service work in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable safety practices.
- Keep assigned tools, testing equipment, and other resources maintained and in proper operating condition.
- Test installations and repaired equipment to confirm proper functionality and adherence to technical specifications and documented standards.
- Share service findings, equipment concerns, and recurring technical problems with the appropriate internal departments.
- Maintain accurate service records detailing troubleshooting findings, repairs performed, equipment updates, and test results.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent education required, bachelor’s degree in Electronics
- Technology, Electrical Technology or related technical field preferred
- Travel 25% or greater depending on Customer and business needs
- 1+ years of previous experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, or supporting
- electronic equipment in a mobile, automotive, industrial, or similar technical environment
- Working knowledge of electronic theory, digital circuits, and electronic components
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP; experience with wireless technologies
preferred
- Proficiency using standard electronic test equipment, including digital multimeters
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Demonstrated soldering skills and familiarity with electronic repair techniques
- Mechanical aptitude and proficiency using common power tools and hand tools
- Strong computer skills and the ability to use software and technical resources to support troubleshooting and documentation

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
