Job Description
We are seeking an experienced PET/CT Technologist for a temporary assignment with a leading Cardiology group in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality PET and CT imaging procedures while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform PET/CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Position patients accurately and ensure image quality standards are met.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to radiation safety practices and infection control standards.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and operating properly.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine program.
- Current ARRT (R) and/or NMTCB certification required.
- PET certification preferred.
- Texas Medical Board (TMB) MRT License required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of PET/CT experience preferred.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
