Job Description
A nationwide leader in electrical materials production in Iron Mountain is seeking a Payroll Support Specialist to assist their payroll team during their recent growth time. This role will provide hands-on payroll support and help maintain daily payroll operations and work with the internal payroll department.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who can jump in quickly, assist with payroll processing tasks, and support payroll system validation during the transition. The position may begin as a contract engagement with potential to convert to a permanent role depending on team needs and candidate fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter new hires, status changes, and wage adjustments into payroll systems
- Process and review employee timesheets for accuracy
- Perform payroll data entry and assist with payroll processing tasks
- Support parallel payroll testing during a new payroll system implementation
- Audit payroll calculations and tax accuracy
