Fairbury, Nebraska | Full Time | Direct Hire
Salary: $100,000 to $130,000 + Bonus
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across a multi building manufacturing campus. This is a highly visible, hands on leadership role responsible for approximately 20+ maintenance employees while owning preventive and corrective maintenance, facility projects, capital initiatives, equipment reliability, and team development.
This is not a desk based management position. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading people and projects, walking the production floor, troubleshooting alongside the team, and developing technicians.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and develop a maintenance organization of approximately 20+ employees
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs across multiple production facilities
• Drive equipment reliability and reduce preventable downtime
• Manage maintenance, facility, infrastructure, and capital improvement projects
• Coordinate maintenance priorities, labor, and resources across three production buildings and a larger multi building campus
• Partner closely with Operations and Production leadership to resolve equipment and facility issues
• Develop junior and less experienced maintenance technicians through hands on training and mentorship
• Oversee maintenance parts, inventory, and resource availability
• Support electrical, grounds, facility, and infrastructure needs
• Utilize maintenance systems and data to improve planning, execution, and reliability
• Participate directly in troubleshooting and maintenance activities when needed
Required Qualifications
• Industrial maintenance leadership experience
• Experience managing maintenance technicians or skilled trades employees
• Strong preventive and corrective maintenance experience
• Demonstrated project management capability
• Strong equipment troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Hands on, visible leadership style
• Experience supporting production equipment within an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Ability to develop employees and create accountability
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities across a broad facility operation
Preferred Experience
• Food manufacturing, food processing, meat processing, agricultural processing, or other high volume manufacturing
• SAP or similar maintenance management systems
• Redzone experience
• Maintenance parts and inventory management
• Electrical knowledge
• Multi building or multi production area responsibility
• Bilingual English and Spanish capability is a significant plus
Ideal Candidate Profile
The strongest candidate will be a Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Superintendent, Reliability and Maintenance Leader, or experienced Maintenance Supervisor who wants broader ownership and visibility.
This individual should enjoy a smaller company environment where leaders wear multiple hats and have the autonomy to make a measurable impact. Success will require someone who can manage the department, lead projects, develop people, and still walk onto the production floor to help solve a problem when needed.
Compensation and Benefits
• Base salary of $100,000 to $130,000
• Potential annual bonus of approximately $10,000 based on role designation and performance
• 401(k) with 100% company match up to 5%
• Relocation candidates considered
• Temporary furnished company housing may be available for relocating candidates
• Additional compensation flexibility may be considered depending on candidate circumstances
