Job Description
A well-established local service company is seeking an experienced Locksmith Technician to support residential and commercial customers throughout the Greensboro area. This role is responsible for installing, repairing, rekeying, and maintaining locks, keys, doors, and related security hardware. The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with dependable, professional customer service. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering long-term career potential for an experienced locksmith.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, replace, rekey, and service residential and commercial locks and locking systems
- Diagnose lock, key, door, frame, hinge, and hardware issues and determine appropriate repairs
- Install and service commercial door hardware, including panic bars, exit devices, door closers, deadbolts, cylinders, and locksets
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls while maintaining accurate work orders and service documentation
- Travel to customer locations, manage service calls independently, maintain company tools and equipment, and follow established safety and service standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous professional locksmith experience with residential and commercial locking systems preferred
- Experience with rekeying, key cutting, commercial door hardware, and master key systems; electronic lock or access-control experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and ability to use locksmith tools, hand tools, power tools, drills, and key-cutting equipment
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to successfully complete required background and drug screening
- Ability to participate in the scheduled on-call rotation, work independently at customer locations, use ladders safely, and lift and carry tools, locks, hardware, and equipment as required

The base pay range for this position is $21.00–$28.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation.
