Interim Controller | $35–$45/HR | Onsite | Omaha, NE | Temporary Assignment (2-3 months)
A well-established privately owned organization in Omaha is seeking an Interim Controller to provide immediate accounting leadership and operational support during a transition period. This is a highly hands-on role working directly alongside the CFO to maintain day-to-day accounting operations, oversee monthly close, and support a stable finance function while the organization searches for a permanent hire.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead monthly close activities and maintain the integrity of the general ledger
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management
• Manage reconciliations, financial reporting accuracy, and internal controls
• Oversee member billing, dues, collections, and account inquiries
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit-related activities
• Partner with the CFO on accounting operations and process improvements
• Utilize internal ERP software to support system integration efforts
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure GAAP compliance
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong in GAAP
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
• Experience overseeing transactional accounting functions
• Strong Excel and accounting systems experience
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Experience in hospitality, private club, or service industries is a plus
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong in GAAP

• Experience overseeing transactional accounting functions
