Job Description:
As an Installer, you will play an important role in the manufacturing and assembly of specialty vehicles for a leading manufacturer in Winter Park, FL. In this hands-on position, you will install interior and exterior vehicle components, including trim, cabinets, upholstery, flooring, and hardware. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, basic carpentry skills, and experience working with hand and power tools.
This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity that, with good attendance and a strong work ethic, can lead to a long-term career with opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Install non-electrical interior and exterior vehicle components, including trim, cabinets, upholstery, flooring, and hardware.
- Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools to assemble and secure vehicle components.
- Read and follow engineering drawings, layouts, work orders, and installation instructions.
- Measure, align, and fit materials accurately using tape measures and other measuring devices.
- Inspect completed installations to ensure proper fit, alignment, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while following established safety procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in installation, assembly, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on position.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools, including drills, screw guns, sanders, and jigsaws.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, layouts, and written or verbal instructions in English.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; previous carpentry or mechanical experience is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate tools and equipment while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
