Job Description
We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative and transactional support to the HR department. This position will serve as a key point of contact for employees, managers, and applicants while assisting with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and general HR functions.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, customer-focused, and comfortable handling confidential employee information while managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Assist the HR Manager with recruiting activities, including candidate screening and interview coordination.
- Review applications and identify candidates who meet position requirements.
- Communicate with applicants regarding job opportunities, benefits, and company information.
- Forward qualified candidate information to appropriate hiring managers.
- Schedule interviews, coordinate hiring team meetings, and assist with reference checks.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding, including employment documents, orientation, and training.
- Perform HR data entry and online employee license verification.
- Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems.
- Update organizational charts, directories, and other HR documentation.
- Source candidates through databases, job boards, networking, and social media.
- Assist with employee benefits administration.
- Provide professional customer service and support to employees and managers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
- Previous HR, customer service, or administrative experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with HR software and systems preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively.
