Job Description:
Join an established manufacturer as a Production Grinder. In this hands-on role, you will use grinding and finishing tools to remove excess material, smooth rough edges, and prepare components for the next stage of production. Ideal candidates take pride in quality workmanship, follow safety procedures, and work well in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate grinders and related finishing tools to remove burrs, rough edges, and excess material from manufactured components
- Grind, smooth, and finish surfaces according to work instructions and quality requirements
- Inspect parts for defects and verify dimensions using appropriate measuring tools
- Secure workpieces and inspect grinding tools, wheels, and guards before use
- Follow required safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- Keep work areas clean and organized while meeting production goals
- Document completed work and report equipment issues or quality concerns to the supervisor
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous grinding, deburring, metal finishing, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Comfortable using measuring tools, including tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
