Job Description
Take ownership of a highly visible accounting leadership role supporting both a family office and a portfolio of privately held companies. This opportunity offers a unique blend of technical accounting, financial reporting, tax coordination, and leadership while partnering directly with executive leadership in a confidential, relationship-driven environment.

Our client is a stable, privately held organization managing the financial affairs of a high-net-worth family and multiple affiliated businesses. This is a key position created as part of a long-term leadership transition, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact while working closely with executive leadership and trusted outside advisors.
What You'll Do
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple affiliated entities and family office activities
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Manage intercompany accounting, related-party transactions, and cash reporting
- Coordinate with outside CPA firms on tax compliance and planning
- Supervise and mentor one accounting team member
- Research complex accounting issues and identify process improvements
- Support family office reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis while maintaining strict confidentiality
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience
- Experience preparing financial statements and managing month-end close
- Experience working with external CPA firms and auditors
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate issues and think beyond transaction processing
