Job Description
A textile company is seeking a Card Operator to support daily production by operating carding equipment and supplying fiber and reworkable fiber to machine hoppers. This role is responsible for helping open and blend fibers while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
· Operate carding equipment by supplying fiber and reworkable fiber to hoppers for proper opening and blending
· Check machinery and equipment before startup to ensure safe operation
· Open bales of raw materials, remove wires, ropes, and coverings, and place materials in proper storage areas
· Keep hoppers filled, evenly distribute fiber, repair ends down, doff cans, and move cans to the drawing storage area
· Maintain a clean work area, properly handle waste, and follow all safety guidelines and supervisor instructions
· Check machinery and equipment before startup to ensure safe operation

Qualifications and Requirements:
· Must be able to read job instructions
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· Must be at least 21 years old
· Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the production area
· Ability to lift 5–10 lb. bags of reworkable fiber and move 100 lb. cans from carding to drawing
· Must be able to use required PPE, including hearing protection, eye protection, and Kevlar gloves
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· Must be at least 21 years old
· Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the production area

The base pay range for this position is $16.02–$18.85 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
