Job Description
Join a national law firm specializing in government debt collection as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative. In this role, you’ll handle inbound and outbound calls to collect payments, manage debtor accounts, and perform skip tracing to locate responsible parties. You'll also review and reconcile account information and work with customers to set up suitable payment plans. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve escalated issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Make inbound and outbound calls to collect monies owed
- Monitor debtor accounts and ensure payment follow-up
- Use skip tracing and collection strategies to locate individuals
- Establish and manage payment plans
- Review accounts for discrepancies or needed adjustments
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be bilingual in Portuguese or Spanish
- Proficient with basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
- Clear verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle escalated calls professionally
- Knowledge of FDCPA, HIPAA, and local/state collection laws
