Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Service & Aftermarket Manager to establish and lead its North American Service & Aftermarket organization. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader who enjoys building organizations from the ground up while developing scalable service operations that support long-term business growth. Reporting directly to Sales Operations leadership, this individual will create the service infrastructure, customer support processes, spare parts strategy, and operational framework needed to support a rapidly expanding installed base of industrial robotic systems. Working closely with Sales Directors, Engineering, and customers, this role will lay the foundation for a best-in-class aftermarket organization.
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead the North American Service & Aftermarket organization from the ground up
- Develop service strategies, customer support processes, and operational procedures
- Enhance Service Level Agreements (SLAs), preventive maintenance programs, and service documentation
- Create spare parts and inventory strategies to support customers throughout the equipment lifecycle
- Partner closely with Sales Directors and customers to provide exceptional post-sale support
- Develop service workflows, KPIs, reporting metrics, and operational best practices
- Build long-term customer relationships and support future service growth initiatives
- Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Operations to improve customer satisfaction and service delivery
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience in industrial robotics, automation, industrial equipment service, or aftermarket operations
- Proven success building or improving service organizations, aftermarket programs, customer support operations, or field service functions
- Strong knowledge of industrial robotic systems, service agreements, preventive maintenance, spare parts planning, and customer support
- Self-motivated leader with excellent communication and relationship-building skills; U.S. Citizenship is strongly preferred due to expanding government and Navy-related business
Preferred Experience:
- Robotics OEM or automation systems integrator experience
- Industrial robotic arm automation, manufacturing, shipbuilding, heavy industry, or automotive automation
- Experience building service organizations or aftermarket operations from the ground up
- ERP, CRM, warranty management, or field service management systems
