Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Survey Manager to lead survey operations for a growing heavy civil and infrastructure organization. This role is responsible for managing survey personnel, overseeing geometry control and field surveying activities, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting project execution from planning through completion. The ideal candidate is a hands on leader with strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects while developing a successful survey team.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and develop survey crews while coordinating daily field operations and project priorities
• Manage survey planning, geometry control, data collection, documentation, and quality assurance for active construction projects
• Review survey work to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, engineers, and field personnel to resolve survey related challenges and support project execution
• Maintain survey equipment, oversee resource planning, and continuously improve survey processes and team performance
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent survey experience will also be considered
• Previous leadership experience managing survey crews or survey operations
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, geometry control, construction staking, and survey documentation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving, and project management skills
• Segmental bridge construction experience is preferred but not required

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, leadership capabilities, and internal pay equity. Please note that hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
