Job Description
A prestigious higher education organization in the Erie, PA area is seeking an Administrative
Assistant to support executive leadership within a fast-paced academic environment. This
position requires a polished and professional individual with strong administrative experience,
exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with senior-level leadership.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and capable of managing multiple
priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to executive-level leadership and departmental operations
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, correspondence, and daily office activities
- Draft, proofread, and edit professional communications and documents
- Manage and organize records, reports, and confidential information
- Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned
- Support internal and external communications, including social media efforts when needed
- Collaborate effectively with leadership, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders
- Perform a variety of administrative duties to ensure efficient office operations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Administrative Assistant experience required
- Executive Assistant and/or C-level support experience preferred
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
- Social media experience is a plus
- Excellent written communication, proofreading, and editing skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to take direction from senior leadership and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
