Job Description
A well-established precision manufacturing company is seeking a first-shift Metal Polisher to help produce quality finished components. In this hands-on role, you’ll set up and operate polishing equipment, smooth internal and external part surfaces, and inspect your work to ensure it meets specifications. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and an interest in precision manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Follow production routers and job-specific processing instructions
- Set up and operate equipment for manual and automatic polishing of internal and external surfaces
- Secure parts in fixtures and position tooling for proper polishing
- Inspect parts using gauges, microscopes, and a surface analyzer
- Wash and inspect parts between polishing steps before moving to the next operation
- Monitor equipment indicators and perform routine maintenance
- Maintain tooling and material supplies and report inventory needs to the supervisor
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Basic math, English, and spelling skills
- Basic blueprint-reading ability
- Manual dexterity and the ability to perform work requiring frequent use of hands and arms
- Knowledge of polishing lathes, mills, and associated tooling
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–2:30 PM, and Friday, 5:30 AM–11:30 AM
