Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner to support a highly visible HR technology team with a primary focus on Workday. This role will partner closely with HR leaders, business stakeholders, and technology teams to manage the product roadmap and backlog, prioritize enhancements, support Agile delivery, and help drive solutions that improve the employee experience and HR operations.

This role will partner closely with HR leaders, business stakeholders, and technology teams to manage the product roadmap and backlog, prioritize enhancements, support Agile delivery, and help drive solutions that improve the employee experience and HR operations.
The ideal candidate has worked in both Product Owner and Product Manager capacities and brings strong experience with roadmap ownership, backlog prioritization, stakeholder management, Agile delivery, and HR technology. Workday experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Own and prioritize the product roadmap and backlog for Workday and related HR technology solutions
- Partner with HR leaders and stakeholders to identify needs and translate them into product initiatives and requirements
- Drive backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and Agile delivery activities
- Lead semi-annual HR technology releases and coordinate dependencies, risks, and outstanding issues
- Serve as the liaison between HR stakeholders, HR technology partners, and delivery teams
- Facilitate prioritization and decision-making across competing stakeholder needs
- Communicate roadmap updates, delivery status, priorities, and risks to leadership
- Evaluate and prioritize new Workday functionality and vendor enhancements
- Support change management and user adoption for new capabilities
- Serve as project manager for major cross-functional HR technology initiatives
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field
- 5-7+ years of Product Ownership, Product Management, or Agile product leadership experience
- Experience working in both Product Owner and Product Manager roles
- Direct experience owning a product roadmap and backlog
- Strong Agile/Scrum experience including sprint planning, prioritization, and release planning
- Experience partnering directly with HR business leaders and functional stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and executive communication skills
- Experience with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Rally, or similar platforms
- Workday or broader HR technology experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting Workday implementations, enhancements, or multiple Workday modules preferred
- CSPO, SAFe POPM, or similar certification preferred
- Insurance industry experience is a plus
Candidates should have direct Product Ownership and Product Management responsibility. This opportunity is not designed for candidates whose experience is primarily limited to Business Analysis, Project Management, HRIS administration, or functional Workday support without responsibility for product strategy, roadmap ownership, backlog prioritization, and delivery decisions.

The Pay Rate range for this position is $56 – $64 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
