Job Description
In this position, you will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing shop environment supporting electrical and mechanical installation work on industrial-scale equipment. You will assist with conduit installation, fire alarm and telecom wiring, wiring termination, and general mechanical support.
This position is a strong fit for candidates with hands-on electrical, mechanical, construction, fire alarm, telecom, or conduit experience who are safety-focused and comfortable working in a production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Bend and install EMT conduit with minimal supervision
- Install fire alarm and telecom wiring and components
- Pull and terminate wiring to electrical devices
- Read and understand shop drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Assist with electrical and mechanical installation on industrial-scale equipment
- Test electrical components to ensure proper functionality
- Follow NEC code requirements and site safety procedures
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
- Communicate work progress, concerns, or material needs to leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous industrial electrical, mechanical, construction, fire alarm, telecom, or conduit experience preferred
- Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish required
- High school diploma, GED, or related electrical/mechanical experience preferred
- Previous experience bending and installing conduit preferred
- Knowledge of fire alarm and telecom installation preferred
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings and schematics
- Basic understanding of NEC codes preferred
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures approximately 28 inches off the floor
- Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to work in varying hot and cold conditions where noise levels may be at or above 90 decibels
