Job Description
Answering 50-70 inbound member calls, providing prompt and courteous customer service. Serve as a primary point of contact for members, colleagues, and external parties, providing information and assistance related to the organization’s benefits plans and other company services. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage a high volume of inquiries while delivering an exceptional member experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provides robust front-line phone support to callers who have a wide variety of questions and concerns, effectively utilizing resources.
- May provide limited support for higher-level specialty calls handled within the Member Contact Center, such as Benefit Technical Services or calls that would otherwise be directed to a processing unit.
- Maintains proficiency in all Member Contact Center subjects to answer phone calls as determined by call volume fluctuations.
- Learn new systems and processes quickly and incorporate them into the daily work.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects at various stages of development using effective organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse membership and employees in a clear and precise manner.
- Ability to listen and interpret the customer’s needs to de-escalate difficult customer calls, while at the same time researching the issue and applying robust business and technical knowledge to meet the customer’s satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- One year of experience in a telephone customer service position, handling inbound calls.
- Associate’s degree in business and six months of experience in telephone customer service.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent, Associate’s degree in Business preferred.
- Successful candidates will demonstrate strong customer service skills, professionalism, and the ability to manage a high volume of inquiries while delivering exceptional member experience.

The base salary range for this position is $22.00 – $23.00, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
