Job Description
Controls, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Payroll & Benefits Administrator to oversee payroll processing and employee benefits administration for approximately 30 employees. This role is responsible for managing bi-weekly payroll through ADP, maintaining accurate employee records, and serving as the primary point of contact for benefit-related questions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, values confidentiality, and enjoys working independently while supporting employees and ensuring compliance with payroll and benefits regulations.
Responsibilities
- Process accurate bi-weekly payroll using the ADP payroll system
- Maintain employee payroll records, including wages, deductions, and tax withholdings
- Administer employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans
- Assist employees with payroll and benefits questions and coordinate with providers to resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, ACA, COBRA, and company recordkeeping requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll and/or benefits administration experience
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems preferred
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, taxes, deductions, and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office software with strong attention to detail
