Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support Agile software delivery initiatives within a Guidewire-focused environment. This role partners closely with Product Owners, SMEs, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories, improve business processes, and support successful product delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong stakeholder engagement skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on experience working within Agile Scrum teams.

This role partners closely with Product Owners, SMEs, developers, QA, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories, improve business processes, and support successful product delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong stakeholder engagement skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on experience working within Agile Scrum teams.
This position requires someone who can independently manage moderately complex business analysis activities, translate business needs into actionable requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the SDLC.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Create and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with Product Owners, SMEs, development teams, and QA throughout Agile delivery cycles
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, and retrospectives
- Analyze business workflows and recommend process improvements
- Support testing activities by helping define detailed test requirements and validation scenarios
- Maintain business and product artifacts throughout the project lifecycle
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Assist leadership and decision-makers with data gathering and analysis to support informed decisions
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and quality of deliverables
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within Agile environments
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
- Ability to write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience with testing processes and test case collaboration
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Guidewire experience required; Guidewire PolicyCenter experience strongly preferred
- Guidewire PolicyCenter Associate Certification preferred
- Candidates with strong Guidewire experience willing to obtain certification within 2–3 months will be considered
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, Rally, or similar ALM tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices
- SQL knowledge is a plus
- Insurance industry experience, specifically Property & Casualty insurance, coverages, endorsements, and rating structures preferred
- Familiarity with company and department practices and procedures

The Pay Rate range for this position is $50 – $62 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
