Job Description:
The Web Developer will focus on the rebuilding of the company’s ecommerce platform from the ground up. This is not a traditional CMS or templated ecommerce environment—this role will focus on developing a custom, scalable web application that integrates directly with engineering systems to dynamically generate product configurations, 3D models, and renderings. Future projects include building Python-based applications; experience with and develop in local AI environments and backup for IT Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a custom ecommerce platform (no WordPress or third-party widget frameworks)
- Build dynamic product configuration and pricing tools
- Integrate web platform with DriveWorks / SolidWorks to automate 3D model and rendering generation
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs for system integrations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business and engineering requirements into technical solutions
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5+ years of full stack software development (not CMS-based development)
- Strong backend development experience in Java and/or Python
- Proficiency in JavaScript (modern frameworks), HTML, CSS
- Experience working with APIs, JSON, and system integrations
- Experience building custom web applications or platforms from scratch
- Solid understanding of application architecture, databases, and performance optimization

The base salary range for this position is $95,000 – $110,000/yr. Your salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and internal pay equity.
