Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automation solutions that streamline business processes and reduce manual effort across enterprise systems. This role supports multiple software products and integrations, focusing on ServiceNow, PowerShell, C#, and REST APIs to enhance productivity, scalability, and system reliability. The Production Automation Engineer will work closely with a diverse technical team responsible for configuring, administering, and integrating several software products. The ideal candidate has a strong developer mindset, hands-on coding ability, and the initiative to navigate legacy systems with limited documentation.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain automation solutions to connect systems and eliminate repetitive tasks.
- Develop and support ServiceNow workflows, integrations, and scripts.
- Configure, administer, and develop software products and tools, including custom C# applications.
- Create and maintain PowerShell scripts and lightweight web applications to support automation needs.
- Build and consume REST APIs; perform testing and validation using Postman.
- Conduct code reviews, manage version control with Git, and follow established SDLC processes.
- Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and gather requirements.
- Proactively document legacy software environments where documentation is limited.
- Analyze and optimize existing automation workflows for improved system performance and efficiency.
- Support releases, ticket workflows, and queue management within the ServiceNow environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong ServiceNow experience (developer-centric focus).
- Hands-on experience with PowerShell, C#, and REST APIs.
- Experience with Git, Postman, and code review processes.
- 1–2+ years of web development or scripting experience.
- Strong technical documentation and data analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
- ServiceNow certifications.
- Experience working with legacy systems and limited documentation environments.
- Knowledge of financial or insurance industry systems.
- Understanding of business process improvement and software automation best practices.
- Familiarity with UI design principles and unstructured technical environments.

The Pay Rate range for this position is $34 – $56 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
