Job Description
We are seeking a dependable Welder Helper to join a growing team specializing in dump trailer equipment. This role supports welders and fabricators with material preparation, equipment assembly, grinding, and general shop duties. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, willing to learn, and comfortable working with hand tools and fabrication equipment. Responsibilities
- Assist welders with MIG welding and fabrication tasks involving aluminum and steel components.
- Prepare materials using grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools.
- Help align, position, and assemble components using measuring tools and clamps.
- Clean and organize work areas, tools, and materials.
- Assist with inspecting welds and repairing equipment as needed.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized shop.
- Assist with inventory, material tracking, and other general shop duties.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous welding, fabrication, or general shop experience preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, grinders, and measuring equipment is a plus.
- Willingness to learn welding and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- High school diploma or GED required.
