Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Welder / Fabricator to support manufacturing operations. In this role, you will perform welding, fabrication, repair, and assembly work in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
This position is ideal for someone with welding experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to produce quality welds while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding, fabrication, and repair work on metal and other weldable materials
- Apply appropriate welding techniques based on job requirements and material type
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings
- Perform groove and fillet welds on pipe and plate in various positions, including 1G-5G and 1F-3F
- Align, fit, and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates
- Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness and quality
- Identify weld defects such as porosity, inclusions, undercut, penetration issues, pinholes, cavities, and blow-through
- Repair weld defects to meet structural and workmanship standards
- Inspect parts and assemblies for quality assurance
- Identify and troubleshoot production errors or defects
- Ensure finished products meet company specifications and quality expectations
- Follow all workplace safety rules, procedures, and manufacturing standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work independently with supervision and collaboratively with team members as needed
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Welding experience required
- MIG, TIG, and brazing experience required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and welding specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in welding, fabrication, and manufacturing
- Ability to follow instructions, accept coaching, and apply feedback
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
