Job Description
the leading U.S. manufacturer of prestressed concrete railroad ties, turnout ties, and crossing panels for freight and passenger railroads. The welder is responsible for performing welding, fabrication, and repair works on production equipment, machinery, steel components, and manufacturing fixtures used in the production for concrete railroad ties.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Stand for 8+ hours per day
- Ability to pass a welding test
- Perform MIG, Stick, and other welding processes are required
- Fabricate, repair, and modify steel structures, equipment, and production fixtures
- Operate welding equipment, cutting torches, grinder, and other fabrication tools
- Work in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environment
- Knowledge of welding techniques, metal fabrication, and equipment repair
- Strong mechanical attitude and troubleshooting skills
